The Singlitude

Two nights ago, the moon was full….the atmosphere was full…of our God, so audibly heard, in his sweet reign, shining on us…one day we will shine too, yea…spotless.. blameless …united to the lover of our soul…so, I press, not because I have already won the prize but I PRESS on to take hold of THAT for which Christ Jesus took hold of me…

I am sooooooo imperfect, but the triunity is forever calling me..

Be enouraged…and press on..

The Singlitude
The unity of thought has lit a path directly from the lone star up ahead
next to the moon
to this chair beside this window in my bedroom
I sip its brightness slowly
and drink in this singlitude
To the top of the middle all the way around…
Swirling into one big idea…
One sound..…

..this ‘Jesus’

Who is this ‘Jesus’ and what exactly has he done?

Jesus says in Matthew 5:17 NLT – “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose.”

So Jesus himself said it, he did not come to Earth to abolish the law that was given to Moses…on the contrary, he followed it…there were many things that he did not have to do but did as part of his Judaistic traditions (the religion of the Jews), with all its feasts, etc. He did try though to highlight that love takes pre-eminence over the law but we’ll leave that chat for another day..another post…yea.…

From Feelings to Faith…

You know, if there is one thing we can extract from David’s life is his self-encouragement…the way he spoke himself into praising, honoring, praying to, waiting upon and worshipping God.

For sometime now, there has been an audible fight within me, between the body and the spirit, on one particular point of contention: consistency. It’s awesome that I have a big Daddy who I can talk to at any time, at any place and under any condition, but he yearns for me to guard my heart from warmth.  This coolness is the slow death of my fervor in serving him consistently.…

Which Jesus is your Jesus?

The real Jesus has stood up…the real question? “Is this the Jesus that you serve?” The Jesus that after 3 days rose?

This Jesus is alive, even after dying at Calvary. Is this that Jesus’ cross you carry?

This Jesus shared a kingdom with us and handed over its keys.

This Jesus cast out demons.

This Jesus walked on seas.

This Jesus gave his powerful spirit.

This Jesus softened our hearts.

This Jesus transforms our minds.

This Jesus is the life of the party.

Is this Jesus your life-line?

Thoughts not for Sale

I remember the nights back in 2003, I spent working on this image.

It would later serve as a catalyst…as a reminder to move forward into its prophetic promises. At first, I tried in my own vain effort, especially focusing on ‘Thoughts not for Sale’. I eluded mindsets and patterns of thinking that I had long held dear…finally challenging them, confronting them and disciplining myself to work them out before I act upon them, and eventually tossing aside thoughts or thought patterns that either came by way of negative external influences or from habit.

This did help somewhat, but there were many thought patterns that I felt powerless to change.…
